Liger producer Charmme Kaur says 'spent days crying' post link-up rumours with Puri Jagannadh

Liger producer Charmme Kaur has reacted to rumours of her link-up with director Puri Jagannadh. Here's what she said.

Charmme Kaur and Puri Jagannadh are the co-owners of Puri Connects. Together, they are ready to entertain us with their upcoming production venture, Liger. In the midst of the film's release, rumours of Charmme and Puri's relationship have been doing the rounds. In a recent media interaction, Charmme revealed how she gets affected by link-up rumours with the filmmaker. The producer mentioned that she has spent days crying after rumours of her link-up surfaced.

Reacting to the rumours of her link-up with director Puri Jagannadh, Charmme said, "I get very affected. I feel very bad and very hurt. I’ve spent days crying. I’m a normal human being at the end of the day. I want people to see me as a producer. I want people to see me as a hard working woman. But when things like this come, I wonder if I am doing something wrong in my life. I want people to be convinced that I am a woman who is working very hard for myself and my family. For one day, I cry a lot. Even my father says cry, dil halka hojayega. But it is not right to cry the next day."

She further shared, "The next day, you have to get back on your feet. And ask yourself what your ambition is. What is your aim? What are you born for? Get up, wake up and go on floors. Forget about everything else. One day people will say Charmme Kaur aur Puri Jagannadh ka jo partnership hai, that is our inspiration. That will come with success and for that, I will have to work hard."

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger stars Ananya Panday, Vijay Deverakonda, Mike Tyson and Ramya Krishan. For the film, Vijay underwent martial arts training in Thailand as he plays a boxer in the film. Jointly produced by Puri Connects and Dharma Productions, Liger will be released on August 25, 2022.
