Parthiv Patel starred with the bat in a low-scoring encounter to help Gujarat Giants beat Manipal Tigers by 2 wickets in the third match of the Legends League Cricket Season 2 in Lucknow on Monday.

On the basis of the disciplined performance of their bowlers, Gujarat first bowled out Manipal Tigers for 120 runs and then Gujarati boys Parthiv Patel (34) and Kevin O'Brien (23), and Thisara Perera (23), who played an unbeaten inning of 106 runs in the first match. Sehwag's team chased down the target with 8 wickets remaining in 17.2 overs.

Although Virender Sehwag failed with the bat, his team chased down a 121-run target with 16 balls remaining thanks to Parthiv Patel's 17-ball 34-run knock.
