Lalit Modi's old tweet to girlfriend Sushmita Sen viral after dating announcement

Former IPL chairman Lalit Modi announced in a social media post on Thursday, July 14, that he is dating former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. This sent the internet into a frenzy as nobody had anticipated that they could be dating. As soon as he made the announcement, eagle-eyed netizens dug out an old tweet of his from 2013 in which he is asking Sushmita to reply to his SMS. Twitter users have been sharing screenshots of the tweet saying, “It all started from here.”

In a tweet from 2013 that has resurfaced on social media, Lalit Modi wrote, “Okay I commit “@thesushmitasen: @LalitKModi you are too kind. However, promises are meant to be broken, commitments are honoured. Cheers love. Here is to 47.” Sushmita replied, “Gotcha 47,” to which Lalit said, “Reply my SMS.”
