Five farmers appeared before the SIT on Monday to record statements in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.
Five farmers from Tikunia village reached Crime Branch office on Monday to record statements in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence that claimed eight lives, including four farmers.
After arresting Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Misra's son Ashish Misra in connection with the alleged mowing down of farmers in the Uttar Pradesh district, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had served notices to 37 farmers on the basis of the second FIR lodged in the incident about the alleged lynching to death of three BJP workers.
