The 28-year-old became the 37th Test captain of the team after replacing all-rounder Jason Holder in the role. Jason Holder, the world number one all-rounder in Test cricket, led West Indies in 37 Tests since taking over from Denesh Ramdin in 2015, leading the side to 11 wins, 5 draws and 21 defeats.
