Brigadier P. Sunil Kumar, SM, assumed charge as the Commandant of the Mechanised Infantry Centre and School (MIC&S) of the Indian Army at Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, on April 30, 2025. He succeeded Brigadier Russel D’Souza. The MIC&S is the Army’s training establishment focused on mechanised infantry warfare.
Brigadier Sunil Kumar, a native of Mankavu in Kozhikode, is the son of former Air Force official Pathiyeri Rajan and Swarnam Rajan. His wife is Suma Sunil, and his daughters are Thoolika and Sarika.
