Kim Kardashian has dropped West from her last name on her social media accounts after being declared legally single.
A day after being declared legally single, Kim Kardashian removed West from her name on her official social media handles.
Kim, who married rapper Kanye West eight years ago, had recently filed documents to be declared single amid their ongoing divorce case. On March 2, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran granted Kardashian’s motion seeking the legal status. He smoothed over some procedural objections to the move from Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and dismissed others.
The judge also finalised dropping West from Kim Kardashian’s name. A day after the legal developments, Kim made it official on social media. She changed her name on Instagram and Twitter handles from Kim Kardashian West to just Kim Kardashian.
On Friday, Kim Kardashian also shared a new set of pictures on her Instagram handle. Dressed in a chic pink romper from her label Skims, she was seen taking a selfie, and enjoying a bowl of cereals. “Selfies and cereal kinda night,” she wrote in the caption.
She is also gearing up for her new reality show, The Kardashians. It will start streaming on April on Hulu.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West started dating in 2011 and welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2013. They got married in 2014 and welcomed three more children. It was last year in February, when Kim officially filed for divorce. In October, she met Pete Davidson and soon they started dating. Meanwhile, Kanye made headlines for his romance with Julia Fox in January this year. However, Kanye and Julia broke up this week after dating for a little over a month.
The rapper and fashion mogul went on a social media rampage last month and took several digs at Kim’s partner, Pete Davidson. He had also shared screenshots of a private chat he had about the matter with Kim.
