A Seoul-based rights organisation alleged that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un executed seven people over three years for watching or distributing South Korean videos.
A human rights organisation has said that North Korea has executed seven people over three years for watching or distributing South Korean videos. North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un presided over the public execution, it alleged.
The Seoul-based rights organisation, Transitional Justice Working Group, conducted interviews with 683 North Korean defectors over six years and documented 27 executions in total, most of them by firing squad. Most of them had been accused of offences related to drugs, prostitution and human trafficking.

Legal immigration to the US in 2025 has seen one of its sharpest declines since the pandemic. About 2,50,000 fewer visas in total were issued compared to 2024, reported The Washington Post. The drop has been global, but India stands out as one of the worst affected, alongside China. Visa approvals for the two countries fell by a combined 84,000.
