A video of a Kerala policeman assaulting a passenger aboard Maveli Express has gone viral. The incident occurred on Monday, January 3. The cop assaulted the passenger for travelling in the sleeper coach with only a general ticket.

The incident happened soon after the Maveli Express travelling from Mangalore to Trivandrum left Kannur station. The cop who assaulted the man has been identified as the Assistant Sub-inspector of Kannur Railway Station.
