In the August 10 episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, Amitabh Bachchan told an interesting trivia from Allu Arjun's song Srivalli. The actor revealed it became a step after Allu accidentally missed his slipper.
Amitabh Bachchan began the Wednesday, August 10, episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, with rollover contestant Samit Sharma. The 23-year-old contestant had won Rs 20,000 in the previous episode. He is a senior copywriter at an advertising agency. However, he could not win a big amount on the show. Samit took home Rs 10,000. The next contestant on the hot seat was Shruthy Daga. The 30-year-old Kolkata contestant is currently working as a software engineer. She amazed host Amitabh Bachchan as she greeted him in Tamil and Bengali. The episode was quite fun as Big B revealed an interesting trivia about Allu Arjun's cult song Srivalli.
In a question related to the South film Pushpa, Shruthy Daga answered correctly. Big B narrated that once he was shooting in Hyderabad and he got to question his director about how the ‘chappal’ scene in the song Srivalli happened. He asked if it was by accident or choreographed move. Big B said, “He told me that Allu Arjun missed his slipper and it became a step. Director kept it as it is. The song has become so popular, whenever this song is played, people remove their slipper and mimic that step.”
Shruthy Daga went to play for Rs 50 lakh. She was not sure about the answer, so, she used Video a friend. However, her friend said that he has no idea about the right answer. She took a risk and gave the correct answer. The question was - Which institution developed and maintains the National Digital Library of India? The options were Indian Insitute of Sciences, IIT Karagpur, JNU, APJ Abdul Kala Technological University. The correct answer was IIT, Kharagpur. Before Big B could ask Shruthy the next question, the time was up. She will continue as the rollover contestant in the next episode.
KBC 14 premiered on Sunday, August 7. The first episode witnessed Big B welcoming eminent celebrities, who took over the hotseat and played the game. Those who graced the show as special guests included Aamir Khan, sports icons like Mary Kom and Sunil Chhetri along with India's first blade runner, Major DP Singh, and Mithali Madhumita, the first female officer to win the Gallantry Award.
