
Karnataka SSLC topper Swasthi Kamath wants to be a cardiologist

As there are lot of engineers in her family, Swasthi Kamath aims at entering the medicine field and become a cardiologist. Swasthi Kamath is a student of Jnanasudha English Medium School at Karkala in Udupi district of Karnataka. She is among the 21 students who have secured full 625 marks in the class 10 SSLC-1 examination. The results were announced on May 2.
Talking to The Hindu on phone from Karkala, Ms. Kamath said regular five hours of study helped her to do well in the examination. She thanked her teachers for their support in the preparation.
Ms. Kamath is the elder of two children of Janardhan Kamath, manager in a hotel in Gokarna, and Shanthi Kamath, a homemaker. She said the stress-free environment provided by her parents also contributed to her doing well in the examination.
Ms. Kamath plans to do PUC in the same institution.

After mandating pet dog licensing and microchipping, Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) bids to do the same for cattle to curb stray cattle issues and man-animal conflicts in the streets.
