Referring to the Sadhana Samavesha, the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka said that his government had completed its two years of meaningful governance by implementing all five guarantees that his party had promised to the people during the last elections.

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced that the Revenue Department will distribute title deeds to over one lakh eligible persons at the Sadhana Samavesha scheduled to be held at Hosapete on May 20 to celebrate the completion of two years by Congress government in Karnataka.

Speaking to media representatives after inspecting preparations for the rally in Hosapete on May 16, he said that residents of tandas, hattis, hadis and camps will get property titles. He added that Vijayanagara will be declared a ‘Podi Mukta’ district during the rally.

“The people of Karnataka had entrusted us with the responsibility of governance by giving us 136 seats in the last Assembly elections. The mandate reflected people’s trust in Congress. The government has kept its promises. Ours is the only government in the State that has delivered on its promises,” he said.

Referring to the Sadhana Samavesha, the Deputy Chief Minister said that his government had completed its two years of meaningful governance by implementing all five guarantees that his party had promised to the people during the last elections.

“We are going to celebrate the two-year milestone of meaningful governance. Ministers and legislators will collectively pledge their dedication to energise the beneficiaries of the government’s schemes and assure the public of the continued effective delivery of these initiatives throughout their term. Beneficiaries from various districts across the State are expected to participate in large numbers at the convention,” he said.

To a question on the Navale Balancing Reservoir, a project proposed to build an additional reservoir across Tungabhadra river at Navale in Koppal district to compensate the loss of storage in Tungabhadra reservoir due to the massive silt accumulated on the reservoir bed, Mr. Shivakumar, who also holds the Water Resources portfolio, said the project was mentioned in the budget and discussed with the Chief Ministers of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Present at the occasion were Ministers N. Cheluvarayaswamy and D. Sudhakar, Rajya Sabha member G.C. Chandrashekhar, Legislative Council member Salim Ahmed, Ballari Rural MLA B. Nagendra, Sindhanur MLA Hampanagouda Badarli, Congress district president Siraj Sheikh, B.V. Shivayogi, Vijayanagara Deputy Commissioner M.S. Diwakar and Ballari DC Prashant Kumar Mishra, Zilla Panchayat CEO of Vijayanagara Nongjai Mohd Ali Akram Shah and CEO of Ballari ZP Mohammad Harris Sumair, Vijayanagara Superintendent of Police Srihari Babu B.L. and Ballari SP V.J. Shobharani.
