Karnataka: Five grenades removed from near wired fence in Dakshina Kannada 

Five grenades were found placed near a wired fence at Ilanthila in Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka.

Five grenades were found placed near a wired fence at Ilanthila in Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka.The incident came to light after Jayakumar Poojary,66, noticed five things, resembling grenades, kept near the fence on Saturday evening while walking towards his home.A retired Special Commissioned Officer of the Indian Army, Poojary, identified that those were grenades. One grenade was covered in yellow plastic, while four others were left scattered on the ground.Poojary soon removed them from there and alerted the police.
