The woman also sought protection for her family. In an over a minute-long video, which has been widely shared on social media, the woman says she will appear before the SIT to record her statement, but only after ensuring her family is safe. “I'm very sure that my parents wouldn't have lodged a complaint on their own. They know their daughter has not committed a mistake. The safety of my parents is important. Once I know they are safe, then I'll appear before SIT to record my statement,” the woman is seen saying in the video.
