Today (February 9) marks the first death anniversary of actor Rajiv Kapoor. On this day, his niece Karisma Kapoor took to social media to remember him. Rajiv Kapoor, best known for his lead role in Ram Teri Ganga Maili, breathed his last on February 9, 2021. He died due to a heart attack.
The youngest son of Raj Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, passed away last year after suffering a heart attack. To mark his first death anniversary, his niece, Karisma Kapoor, took to Instagram to drop a throwback picture. It features the legendary Bollywood actor-director-producer, Raj Kapoor and his three sons, Randhir Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor and late Rishi Kapoor. “Chimpu uncle you are missed #RajivKapoor (sic),” the actress captioned the post.
In 2021, Randhir Kapoor confirmed the news of his brother's death. While speaking to Times of India, he said, "I have lost my youngest brother, Rajiv. He is no more. The doctors tried their best but could not save him.” He added, "I am at the hospital, waiting for his body."
Rajiv Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with Ek Jaan Hain Hum in the year 1983.
