Karan Johar has shared his dream cast of the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai remake. Here's what the filmmaker said.

Karan Johar's 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is one of the finest movies of Bollywood. Directed by KJo, the film featured Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji. Cut to today, Karan was recently asked which actors he would cast for the remake of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Without thinking much about it, the filmmaker-producer took Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor's names. And that's his dream cast for the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai remake.

In an interview with the Times Of India, Karan said, "I would say Ranveer, Alia and Janhvi. Alia would play Kajol’s role, Janhvi would play the hottie role - Rani, from college, and Ranveer would be Shah Rukh."

The head-honcho of Dharma Productions was further asked what kind of movie he would make for his kids. To this, Karan added, "I think kids are so much more evolved today that I would not just make it for them. I would just make a happy film because kids should be exposed to only happiness."

Karan Johar is back with a new season of his celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan. The show premiered yesterday (July 7) on Disney + Hotstar. Ranveer and Alia were the first guests of Koffee With Karan 7. The actors made several candid confessions, spoke about their respective spouses and married lives.

Meanwhile, Karan has also returned to direction with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani after a period of 5 years. The film stars Ranveer, Alia, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. It is slated for release on February 10, 2023.
