Karan Johar hosted his 50th birthday party on May 25 at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. The birthday party was indeed a star-studded event with the who’s and who of Bollywood in attendance. With the recent spike in Covid-19 cases in Mumbai, there were reports that almost 40-50 guests present at KJo's party had tested positive, leading to the party being the hotspot for the spread. However, a source close to Karan has rubbished all the rumours.
Karan Johar's party saw Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ananya Panday, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, and others in attendance. However, rumours have it that KJo's bash is the Covid-19 hotspot amid the rise in cases again. An insider exclusively told IndiaToday.in, “Karan Johar is currently shooting for Koffee With Karan and undergoing the mandatory RTPCR test. All protocols on the sets are being followed. The guests too are part of the process. The reports of almost 50 guests present at the party testing positive is bizarre. The party was held almost 10 days back and it is only now that Aditya Roy Kapur has confirmed of testing Covid 19 positive.”
The source stressed, “Most of the celebrities and guests who were part of the party have travelled for their individual commitments post the party, yet every time there is a Covid surge amid celebrities, somehow Kjos’s name appears.”
It can be noted that Kartik Aaryan, who announced that he is Covid-19 positive on June 4, was not even present at the party. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor was to perform at IIFA 2022 on June 4.
