Kangana Ranaut moves Bombay HC for renewal of passport, matter listed for Tuesday

A bench of the Bombay HC is set to hear a plea by actor Kangana Ranaut, who has sought directions to the Passport Authority of India for the renewal of her passport.

Actor Kangana Ranaut has filed an application in the Bombay High Court for renewal of her passport. The application pertains to an earlier plea filed by her challenging an order of the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate's Court. The Magistrate's court had directed Mumbai police to probe a complaint against Kangana Ranaut for allegedly making 'hateful' comments on Twitter. Kangana Ranaut has now filed an interim application seeking renewal of her passport. In her plea, the actor says the Passport Authority of India is objecting to the renewal of her passport on the grounds that an FIR has been filed against her by Mumbai Police.
