When the film had completed 22 years of its release in 2018, director Gunasekhar took to Twitter and shared a poster from Bala Ramayanam. Posting the same, he wrote, “Today Marks 22 years of #NationalAWARD Winning #BestChildren’sFilm @Gunasekhar1’s #balaramayanam starring @tarak9999 as Lord Ram ! (sic).”
