
JNU to set up Covid-19 health centre on campus for students, staff

JNU has decided to set up a Covid-19 health centre on campus for students and staff members who have been tested positive for the virus.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has decided to set up a Covid-19 health centre for students and staff members who have been affected by the virus, an official said on Wednesday. This decision was made after more than 300 people on campus were tested positive for the virus. Sudheer Pratap Singh, Dean of Students of the varsity, conducted an online briefing and said there have been no reported cases of Covid-19 in the last three days among students. To help those who have been affected by the pandemic, JNU has put up this new initiative. JNU vice-chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar said the Delhi government is supporting the initiative while Chintamani Mahapatra, Rector I of the varsity, said meetings are being held with the SDM. Officials said the centre will be for patients with mild symptoms.More Related News
