Alongside, the company is also working with Google to launch its 5G phone dubbed the Jio Phone 5G. The name hasn't been confirmed yet, but if Jio's phone lineup is followed, the upcoming phone should be called Jio Phone 5G.
At the AGM 2022 event, Mukesh Ambani confirmed that Jio and Google are working to launch a 5G phone at an affordable price soon. We can expect the smartphone to go official at the AGM next year, which is still almost a year to go.

As per the report, the upcoming Jio Phone 5G will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 480 SoC. It is tipped to come packed with a 13-megapixel camera shooter at the back. The leak also suggests that the Jio Phone 5G will features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging, up to 32GB of storage and 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 12 software out-of-the-box preloaded with Google Mobile Services and a suite of Jio apps.
On the camera front, the Jio Phone 5G is tipped to include a dual camera system at the back consisting of a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the front, the phone is expected to include a 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Now, what will be the price of the Jio Phone 5G? If reports are believed, the upcoming 5G smartphone will be priced somewhere between Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000.
