Jim Sarbh hasn't watched his and Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. Here’s why

Jim Sarbh, who plays the role of journalist Amin Faizi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, hasn’t watched the film yet. In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, the actor revealed the reason for it.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz and Jim Sarbh has been the talk of the town ever since its release. The audiences and fans can’t help but swoon over Alia’s brilliant performance in the movie. However, Jim Sarbh, who portrays the role of a journalist Amin Faizi in the film, is yet to watch Gangubai Kathiawadi.

For the unversed, Jim was earlier seen playing the role of Malik Kafur in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2018 film Padmaavat. This is the second time that the director has roped in the actor in his grand project. Speaking with IndiaToday.in exclusively, Jim admitted that even though the film is doing exceptionally well, he is yet to watch the film on the big screen. He said, "It feels really good that the film is doing well, but I haven't watched it yet. I only got back to town recently. It's been a packed day ever since. So, I don't want to comment on something that I haven't watched. Having said that it was fun shooting, of course, it was brilliant."

Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on the true story of Gangubai Harjivandas, whose life was documented in the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by S Hussain Zaidi. The film received critical acclaim and is currently running successfully at the box office.
