Jharkhand mourns the death of Father Stan Swamy; CM Hemant Soren writes to President Kovind

Hundreds of tribal supported and activists came out on the streets of Jharkhand's Ranchi on Tuesday to mourn the death of tribal rights activist Father Stan Swamy.
The death of tribal rights activist Stan Swamy, an accused in the Elgar Parishad-Maoists links case, in custody has triggered deep anguish among the people of Jharkhand as supporters came out on the street with posters and placards to mourn his death. The 84-years-old activist had dedicated his entire life to the upliftment of adivasis in eastern tribal state. Stan Swamy, a Jesuit priest, took up the causes of tribals marginalised after their lands had been taken over for dams, mines and townships.More Related News
