A Guwahati student has created history by becoming the second girl ever to score a perfect 100 percentile in the JEE Main 2022 results that were released on Monday. Eighteen-year-old Sneha Pareek has made her home state Assam proud by securing the top rank in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 Session 1 Paper 1 with a perfect score of 300/300.
Born on October 8, 2003, Sneha wishes to pursue BTech in Computer Science at IIT Bombay.
Sneha, also a Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Scholar, had been focusing on preparing for the JEE examination for the past two years, staying away from various social media platforms and other activities.
Talking exclusively to India Today, Sneha said, “It took me a whole two years of hard work to achieve this feat. I used to wake up as early as 4 in the morning and give the maximum possible time to my studies.”
She used to study for 13-14 hours a day, including study time at the coaching centre. Sneha is now waiting for her Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 board results, which she is hopeful of faring well like her Class 10 board exams, where she scored 95 percent marks.
She will now prepare for the JEE Advanced and will not appear in Session 2 of the JEE Main 2022 examination.
“I choose engineering over medical because I want to do something new in the field of technology for my country,” said Sneha.

Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.
