JEE Main 2022: Here is the JEE Main 2022 subject-wise post-exam analysis and expected cut-off.
JEE Mains 2022 Paper 1 and 2 for the BTech/ BE aspirants was conducted from June 24th to June 29, 2022, in two shifts - 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm. The exam consisted of three papers: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and was composed of 90 questions in total.
The paper consisted of multiple choices, single correct answers, integers, and assertion reasons type of questions. Students had to attempt five out of ten questions from the numerical section in each subject, which amounted to 75 questions out of 90 overall.
Despite some lengthy calculations, especially for the Mathematics paper, overall the exam was moderately easy and tough.
Let's look at the post-exam analysis subject-wise:
Out of all the three subjects, Mathematics was moderately tough. The question paper was lengthy as the questions covered all the chapters with a strong focus on Algebra, 3-D, and Calculus. The questions contained a mix of both formula-based and mixed concepts.
The Physics paper was moderately easy as most of the questions were from Class XI and Class XII syllabus and the division was overall balanced. The questions were a combination of numerics and concepts covering topics like Mechanics, Thermodynamic and Electrodynamics. A few tricky numerical-based questions that involved calculations were also asked.
In both the shifts, Chemistry was relatively easy for students to solve as it was NCERT-based and covered most of the class XI and XII syllabus. As compared to Physical & Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry this time was given a higher weightage. Questions on chemical bonding, coordination, GOC, equilibrium, mole concept and state of matter were the most asked questions in the paper.
