Javed Akhtar moves Bombay HC against Kangana Ranaut's misleading statement

Javed Akhtar has moved the Bombay High Court against Kangana Ranaut's statement to obtain her passport. The Bollywood lyricist said that she has falsely claimed there are no criminal cases against her.

Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar has claimed that Kangana Ranaut deliberately gave a misleading statement in Bombay High Court in order to obtain a favourable order to get her passport renewed. Kangana's passport renewal process was earlier rejected on grounds of FIRs (First Information Report) against her, however, her lawyer claimed that there was no criminal case arising out of it. Meanwhile, Javed Akhtar had earlier filed a complaint against Kangana for allegedly defaming him on national television.
