Japanese Encephalitis, Acute Encephalitis Syndrome hit Assam, 120 deaths recorded this year

Assam has recorded 120 deaths due to Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in the state.

Even as Assam continues to battle Covid-19, Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) cases are also on the rise in the state.

Assam has witnessed the highest number of JE and AES cases in the country. Japanese Encephalitis and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome have so far claimed nearly 120 lives in the state this year.
