Speaking on the occasion Prof. Akhtar said the ongoing pandemic has brought pain and suffering to us like never before. It is in challenging times like these in India, that has coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, that we pray to Almighty God to bestow His grace and blessings upon us for the alleviation of all human sufferings induced by the pandemic, she added. We have never felt the need to connect with fellow human beings more even as our hearts reach out to every struggling and suffering individual and family, she concluded.
