IT raids underway at Foxconn manufacturing unit near Chennai, Tamil Nadu

IT sleuths, based on a tipoff, have been conducting a raid at the Redmi office inside the Foxconn campus since Tuesday, December 21.

IT raids are underway at the Foxconn manufacturing unit in Sunguvarchatram near Sriperumbudur. Foxconn produces cell phone components for some of the leading brands, like Apple, Blackberry and Redmi etc. The raid began yesterday and is still ongoing.

The IT sleuths, based on a tip off, have been conducting a raid at the Redmi office functioning inside the Foxconn campus. No one is allowed to enter or exit the premises.
