Doha, Qatar: The Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, organised a Ramadan lecture titled “Ramadan: The Month of Mercy and Forgiveness” on February 27, 2026, targeting English-speaking residents.
The event attracted more than 160 participants from various nationalities.
The Ramadan gathering was held as part of the center’s ongoing efforts to introduce non-Arab communities to Islamic culture and traditions during the holy month of Ramadan, while promoting a deeper understanding of the noble human values emphasised in Islam.
The lecture addressed several key themes, most notably the concept of mercy in Islam as a universal value directed toward all humanity and encompassing all creation.
Speakers highlighted how mercy is closely connected with other ethical principles and emphasized practical ways to incorporate this value into everyday life.
