Amid the ongoing LPG crisis, Arvind Kejriwal questioned the Centre's foreign policy choices, suggesting that India might be paying the price for PM Modi-led government's geopolitical decisions.
A political row has erupted over the LPG supply situation in the country with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal alleging that the Centre has restricted commercial LPG supplies and accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of compromising national interests amid global tensions.
In a post on social media, Kejriwal claimed that LPG supply to commercial establishments across the country has been stopped, except for essential sectors such as educational institutions and hospitals.
“Across the country, excluding educational institutions and hospitals, the supply of LPG gas to all other commercial establishments has been stopped. Gas will be provided only for domestic use. In the coming days, the situation with gas and oil is likely to worsen further,” Kejriwal said.
He further questioned the Centre’s foreign policy choices, suggesting that India might be paying the price for geopolitical decisions.
“Due to some compulsions of his own, Modi ji is bowing before Trump. Is the country paying the price for that today?” the former Delhi chief minister said.
Arvind Kejriwal’s remarks came after the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas announced measures to prioritise LPG supply for households in view of global disruptions affecting fuel supply.
