Iran won't negotiate with US: Security chief blasts Trump amid raging conflict
India Today
Ali Larijani, a long-time advisor of Iran's slain Supreme Leader, accused US President Donald Trump of "plunging the region chaos with his 'false hopes'," as the conflict between the two nations continued for a third day on Monday.
Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said Tehran will not negotiate with Washington, dismissing media reports that the Islamic Republic had used intermediaries to seek renewed talks with the US amid the raging conflict that erupted after American strikes killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In a post on X, Larijani, a long-time advisor to Khamenei, slammed US President Donald Trump and accused him of pushing the region into turmoil.
Larijani said Trump had “plunged the region into chaos with his ‘false hopes’ and is now worried about further casualties of American troops,” adding that the US President had turned his “America First” slogan into “Israel First” and “sacrificed American soldiers for Israel’s quest for power.”
He also rejected accusations against Tehran, saying Iranian forces “did not initiate the invasion.”

On March 18, Israel struck a gas field in Iran. Tehran responded in a matter of hours, striking refineries in several Gulf countries. What explains this sharp, quick counter-attack capability of a country whose military infrastructure has supposedly been severely degraded? The answer lies in a cheap drone and a dispersed military.
