India Today
Ahead of the launch, iQOO has already confirmed a few features as well as the price range of the iQOO Z6. Here's everything you need to know about the latest iQOO phone.
The iQOO Z6 smartphone will launch in India today. The company recently took the wraps off three iQOO 9 series phones and it is now gearing up to launch a new mid-range phone in the country. Ahead of the launch, iQOO has already confirmed a few features as well as the price range of the iQOO Z6.
The leaks have also shown what the device may look like. The renders leaked by tipster Ishan Agarwal suggest that the iQOO Z6 has a boxy design and a rectangular camera module at the back, which houses triple cameras. The device either has a matte or glossy finish, as suggested by the renders. The volume rocker and power button can be seen on the right side of the device. It could be made available in blue and black colour options. Here’s everything we know so far about the iQOO Z6 in terms of price and specs.
The Amazon listing has revealed that the iQOO Z6 5G will be priced between Rs 15,000 to Rs 18,000. At this price range, one will get a smartphone with a cooling system for better thermal management, a 120Hz display, a 6nm Snapdragon chipset, and more. The device will likely be on sale through Amazon, considering the e-commerce site has already published a dedicated page for this iQOO phone.
The new iQOO Z6 could be offered in two configurations, such as 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. The iQOO Z6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, which is based on a 6nm process. Poco also launched its new X4 Pro smartphone with the same chip. The listing claims that the device comes with a five-layered liquid cooling system, which iQOO says will reduce CPU temperature by around 10 degrees and surface temperature of the back panel by around 3 degrees.
The listing shows that Snapdragon 695 has managed to score more points on the AnTuTu benchmarking site than the Snapdragon 750G chipset. It has scored 4,10,563 points, which is higher than 3,92,543 points registered by the other Snapdragon SoC.
It even confirmed the display details of the iQOO Z6. The handset has a 6.58-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut, and a 90.61 per cent screen to body ratio. The rest of the features are still under wraps and will be revealed today at the event.
To recall, its predecessor iQOO Z5 packs a 5,000mAh battery under the hood and has support for 44W fast charging. The new one is also expected to come with these features. It could offer a triple rear camera setup that we get on its predecessor. It will likely run on the Android 12 OS as the brand recently launched three phones with the latest Android OS.
