IPL 2021: Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera granted permission to play in tournament

Dushmantha Chameera and Wanindu Hasaranga were signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the remainder of the 2021 season of the IPL.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said on Sunday that it has provided Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera no-objection certificates (NOC) for playing in the remaining 2021 season of the Indian Premier League. But the pair will have to join the Sri Lankan team on October 10 for their scheduled warm-up games before the T20 World Cup. "The ‘No Objection Certificate’ to the duo was issued for them to join the IPL teams starting from 15th September (following the completion of the South Africa Tour of Sri Lanka). The two players will join the Sri Lanka squad on 10th October 2021 to play in the two warm-up games prior to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers," said the SLC.
