iPhone 15 Pro may come with 5X periscope camera

Analyst Jeff Pu has predicted that the 2023 iPhone 15 Pro models will come with a periscope lens with 5x optical zoom.
While iPhone 14 is still months away from its release, the rumours about the iPhone 15 have already started doing the rounds. Till some time back, there were leaks and renders only about the upcoming iPhone 14 series. A new report has now shared crucial information about the camera specifications of the iPhone 15 series. The report states that the iPhone 15 Pro, which is expected to arrive in 2023, will come with a 5X periscope camera.
As per 9toMac, analyst Jeff Pu has predicted that the 2023 iPhone 15 Pro models will come with a periscope lens with 5x optical zoom. Pu revealed that Apple has already received samples of the unit and will make a final decision by May 2022. The 5x periscope lens would most probably be included in the iPhone 15 Pro models, which could be the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The analyst reveals that Apple is currently in talks with Lante Optics, which is expected to be the main supplier of the periscope lenses to be used in the 2023 iPhones.
Currently, Jeff Pu says that if the companies come to a conclusion, Lante Optics is expected to supply more than 100 million components to Apple. This isn’t the first time Apple working on a Periscope lens has come to the fore. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had also predicted that the company was working to include pericope lens in 2023 iPhones. The information should be taken with a grain of salt as it is completely based on speculations. Apple will not reveal anything about the iPhone 15 before 2023, so to know which camera lens will be included in the iPhone 15 Pro, you will have to wait till 2023 at least.
The rumours about the upcoming iPhone 14 also keep popping up time and again. Previous leaks suggested that the iPhone 14 models are expected to feature 120Hz displays and 6GB of RAM. Apple is rumoured to launch four new models under the iPhone 14 series, which would include the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 mini. Earlier, there were reports about the camera specifications of the iPhone 14 models. It is being predicted that the smartphone will come with a huge camera upgrade.The iPhone 14 is expected to be powered by Apple's next-gen A16 Bionic chipset.
