A number of Apple products have been found to interfere with some medical devices like pacemakers. Apple has now listed these, along with an advisory on their handling for people using such medical devices.
Apple has released a list of its devices that should be kept away from pacemakers. The tech major warns in a new note that the magnets and radios used in these devices can interfere with the working of several medical equipment, including pacemakers and defibrillators. In an updated support page, Apple states that many of its consumer-electronic devices make use of magnets or other components that emit electromagnetic fields. This EMF, in some cases, can interfere with implanted pacemakers and defibrillators through the sensors used in the medical devices.
