Anvee Bhutani, an Indian-origin student of Human Sciences has been elected as the winner in a Student Union (SU) byelection at Oxford University. She studied at Oxford’s Magdalen College and was declared a winner on Thursday night. The byelection was held after the resignation of Indian-origin student Rashmi Samant due to a controversy regarding her past social media posts. Anvee Bhutani, President of the Oxford India Society, and Co-Chair Campaign for Racial Awareness and Equality (CRAE) at Oxford Student’s Union was in the fray for the byelection for the 2021-22 academic year, which attracted a record turnout.More Related News
