India unbeaten in 7, England unbeaten in 8 series: Battle of T20 powerhouses in Ahmedabad

India vs England, T20I series: India have not lost a T20I series since February 2019 but they face a big threat to their unbeaten streak against in-form England in a 5-match series, starting March 12 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

India were dominant against England in the recently-concluded 4-match Test series but the T20I series against Eoin Morgan's men is going to present them with a tougher challenge. Both India and England have proved their T20 prowess in the recent past and one can expect nothing but a cracker when the two sides meet in the 5-match T20I series. India have had a remarkable run in the shortest format of the game, having stitched a 10-match unbeaten run that ended in a dead-rubber in Australia last year. India asserted their dominance in the T20 format in 2020, winning 10 of the 11 matches played in the calendar year, a marked improvement from 2019 wherein they managed only 9 out of 16 matches. India have been unbeaten in T20I series since February 2019 wherein they lost 2-0 to Australia at home. Ever since, they have managed series wins against West Indies in USA and West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh and West Indies, Sri Lanka at home and New Zealand in New Zealand. Kohli's men were on fire in the T20I series against New Zealand last year as they swept the hosts 5-0 before handing Australia 2-1 thrashing in Australia following the enforced break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
