Day 2 of the ongoing AI Impact Summit on Tuesday (February 17, 2026) is set to be packed with a range of sessions on accelerating AI’s adoption and impact across sectors. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who inaugurated the five-day summit on Monday (February 16, 2026), said intelligence and rationality are essential to ensure that artificial intelligence benefits society. “The India AI Impact Summit also aims to see how AI can be used in the public interest,” his post in Hindi on X read.
The inaugural day drew overwhelming crowds and packed Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi to capacity, with many attendees complaining online about overcrowding, refusal of digital payments and difficulty in accessing drinking water.

Global tech leaders Sundar Pichai and Sam Altman, and leaders of about 20 countries, including Brazil and France, are among those from about 100 countries expected to attend the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Impact Summit this week. From February 16 to 20, the summit will feature over 3,250 speakers and more than 500 sessions. It marks the 4th AI Summit after Summits in the U.K., South Korea and France.
