
IIM Calcutta Placement 2021: MBA class of 2021 records 100% placement

Continuing the trend witnessed across other top campuses, Consulting Sector emerged as the top recruiter with 149 students (32%) opting for them.
IIM Calcutta’s flagship MBA program recorded 100% final placements during the placement week that concluded on 3rd March continuing its streak of placing the whole batch. 467 students took part in the process receiving more than 520 offers in three clusters comprising various cohorts. The whole placement process was conducted virtually amid the pandemic. A total of 172 firms participated in the Final Placement process. The average and median salaries rose to INR 29 Lakh and INR 27 Lakh respectively. Kepler-Cannon and Arthur D. Little were amongst the prominent first-time recruiters from this cohort. 90 students were selected by top Investment Banking, Asset Management, Private Equity Venture Capital firms, resulting in about 19% placements.
Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.

Anthropic, the AI startup that found itself at odds with the Pentagon over unrestricted AI use, is now looking for an expert in chemical weapons and explosives. However, the company is not planning to build such weapons, but instead wants to formulate its policy in regard to weapons.
