The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday issued summons to TMC secretary general and senior West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee in connection with the I-core ponzi scam.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday issued summons to TMC secretary general and senior West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee in connection with the I-core Ponzi scam. Chatterjee has been asked to appear before the agency's CGO Complex office in Kolkata on March 15. Chatterjee was allegedly seen in some of the public functions arranged by the now-defunct I-core which was charged with duping investors by offering them abnormally high returns on investments.More Related News

As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
