‘I am calling from Amit Shah’s office’: How conman Sukesh befriended Jacqueline

The conman, trying to befriend the Sri Lanka-born actor since December 2020, impersonated as a government official from Home Minister Amit Shah’s office and called Jacqueline’s makeup artist Shaan Muthathil.

Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar replicated the telephone number of Home Minister Amit Shah’s office and made a spoofed call to pressure actor Jacqueline Fernandez to befriend her, according to Enforcement Directorate (ED) documents accessed by India Today.

The conman, trying to befriend the Sri Lanka-born actor since December 2020, impersonated as a government official from Home Minister Amit Shah’s office and called Jacqueline’s makeup artist Shaan Muthathil. Over the phone, Sukesh, as the Home Ministry official, said, “Jacqueline Fernandez must get in touch with Mr Shekhar as he is an important person and would like to speak to her.”
