HYDRAA demolishes an encroaching two-storey structure in Bansilalpet road, restoring access to a vital road.
Intervention by officials of Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) on Wednesday (April 8, 2026) ensured the removal of an encroaching construction at New Bhoiguda in Bansilalpet. The structure was blocking a crucial 20-foot road.
The officials used an earthmover to demolish a two-storey structure that was being built across half of the road, restoring access to users.
It was reported that residents had lodged a complaint through the grievance redressal system. The encroachment began as a small shop on the ground floor with a residence above but expanded soon after. The expanded construction continued despite repeated objections and complaints to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
Officials said that after coordinating with the related departments, it was confirmed that the area was a designated public road and that the building lacked valid permissions.
