Hyderabad sees decline in crime rate, ranks 18th at national level

The overall crime rate has come down by 10 per cent in Hyderabad this year. In comparison to 22,641 crime cases in the previous year (2020), the city registered 20, 012 cases in 2021.

At the Annual crime roundup event 2021 by Hyderabad Police, held on the Gibraltar rock in Hussain Sagar Lake today, Hyderabad city has been declared safer than other South Indian cities, including Chennai and Bengaluru, as the number of crime cases is much less in Hyderabad than in these cities.

Reportedly, the overall crime rate has come down by 10 per cent in the city this year.
