A man residing in a housing society in Hyderabad has claimed that he received a warning notice from his apartment association for inviting a female colleague to his flat.
The man shared his experience in a post on Reddit’s r/Hyderabad community that also accompanied a picture of the notice allegedly issued by the apartment secretary. In the caption of his post, he explained that he had invited his female colleague over to his apartment a couple of times in the last month for snacks, tea and dinner.
“There was no disturbance to anyone, no loud music or nuisance,” he clarified, adding: “Don’t know what to say.”
The notice stated that the management had received a few complaints over the past month that some residents were allowing female colleagues to visit their flats on weekends and weekdays, which it described as a violation of the apartment’s rules and regulations.
It also warned that the apartment owners would not accept such “mistakes” from tenants and that if the same were repeated in the future, tenants could be asked to vacate their flats immediately.
