Hyderabad honour killing: BJP takes out candle light march against Dalit man's murder

The BJP workers, along with the state party chief, took out a candle light march over the death of a Hindu Dalit, Nagaraju, who was killed by the family of his Muslim wife.

Telangana BJP workers carried out a candle light march and protested in Telangana's Mahabubnagar district against the killing of Hindu Dalit youth Nagaraju, who was attacked by an iron rod and stabbed to death in Hyderabad.

Protestors gathered in a large number holding candles and a 'justice for Nagaraju' poster.

Addressing the protest, Karimnagar MP and state unit chief Bandi Sanjay offered his condolences to the family members of the deceased. “NHRC and National Commission for SC took suo moto cognisance of the murder. The TRS government should tell why they're not acting against the accused. We'll stand by Nagaraju's family”, said Bandi Sanjay.

Today, the SC commission chairman Vijay Sampla will meet the deceased Nagraju’s family in Vikarabad of Telangana.

Nagaraju and Sultana, his wife, were travelling together on their scooty when they were confronted by Mobin Ahmed and Masood Ahmed, brothers of Sultana. The two attacked Nagaraju with an iron rod and stabbed him with a knife, killing him on the spot.
