Hyderabad Airport wins Skytrax 2026 award for Best Airport Staff in India and South Asia for the fifth time.
Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has once again secured global recognition, winning the ‘Best Airport Staff in India and South Asia 2026’ award at the Skytrax World Airport Awards. The airport has received this honour for the fifth time.
The award was announced at the Passenger Terminal EXPO 2026 held in London, where Hyderabad airport emerged as a top performer among airports in India and South Asia. The recognition is based on global passenger surveys conducted by Skytrax, which evaluate staff service across key touchpoints such as check-in, security, immigration, boarding, transfers and arrivals, with parameters including professionalism, efficiency and customer support.
In addition to the staff service award, the airport was ranked as the 2nd Best Regional Airport and the 3rd Best Airport in India and South Asia. It also secured the 8th position globally in the 20 to 30 million passengers per annum category for 2026.
This recognition reflects the strong service culture we have built across the airport ecosystem, driven by the dedication and professionalism of our employees and partners. Their unwavering commitment to delivering a seamless and efficient passenger experience continues to define Hyderabad Airport as a benchmark for service excellence in the region,” said Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GMR Hyderabad International Limited.
