Hrithik Roshan mourned the death of his mentor MM Baig, who played a pivotal role in shaping his early journey in cinema. In a heartfelt post, the actor expressed deep gratitude and sorrow, reflecting on the lasting impact Baig had on his career and life.

Describing his relationship with Baig, Hrithik Roshan emphasised the mentor’s importance in helping him build self-assurance as a young actor. In a note, Roshan addressed the profound effect Baig had on his confidence and development, particularly relating to his speech and delivery.

In his tribute post, Hrithik Roshan wrote, "My dear Baigji, I will forever be grateful to you for being the teacher I so needed at the start of my journey as an actor. You helped me gain confidence over my speech and delivery ... you were instrumental in shaping the actor in me. For helping me overcome my shyness, at the same time empowering my vulnerability. I was lost. And you helped me find my way. Back when I was only 18 years old. I still practice the lessons to this day. I will miss you. Rest in peace, my teacher—M.M. Baig. My thoughts and prayers for the Baig family (sic)."

MM Baig was found dead at his Mumbai home earlier this week. The news was shared by his publicist, Hanif Zaveri with the news agency PTI. Baig was in his seventies and had been living alone for some time. According to Zaveri, he had been unwell for a while and had not been seen for several days, which led neighbours to alert the authorities. Police entered the premises after complaints of a foul smell.
