How Priyanka Gandhi is taking on BJP with 40% Congress tickets to women in Uttar Pradesh polls

Ahead of next year's Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday announced 40 per cent party tickets to women in the election.

To woo the women voters in Uttar Pradesh, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, in-charge of the state affairs, on Tuesday announced 40 per cent party tickets to women in the assembly election likely to be held in the spring next year.

Priyanka Gandhi said, “The Congress will give 40 per cent tickets to women in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election The decision was taken with consensus. Had it been left to me, I would have given 50 per cent party tickets to women in the polls.”
