A dilapidated tenement collapsed in Chennai. No injuries were reported.
A portion of a government tenement collapsed in Chennai on Monday. No injuries were reported. The residents had reportedly seen cracks develop in previous days.
The incident happened in Thiruvatriyur on the outskirts of Chennai. The building housed around 24 residential units that were vacated on December 26 after the building developed several cracks.

The arrest of 7 foreign nationals by the NIA has prompted experts to suggest that the incidents might be connected.
